What is the role of a PA?

Many disabled people see personal assistance as the best way to achieve autonomy and control in their lives. But independence depends, to a great extent, on finding a Personal Assistant who is fully aware of the role, in all its variety, as well as willing and able to do the work.

At Aspirall we believe that a good Personal Assistant helps their employer lead the life they aspire to, letting them enjoy everyday independence, spontaneity and freedom of choice. To bring this about, an effective PA will perform all the tasks that a disabled person is physically or intellectually unable to do, to help the person to achieve their goals. No two people are the same. And no two Personal Assistants are the same. So, by definition, no two assignments are the same!
